Situation A

Your cousin sister just had a baby. You successfully avoided going to the baby shower. Now you have been asked to deliver a gift to them by going to their place. The catch is you do not know your sister's husband's mother too well. There is a good chance she would pick up the phone.

You call up the house, if the mother picks up:
A. you say the following: "Namaste/Vanakkam Aunti, I am Arun, if Nidhi Didi is not very busy, could I please talk to her?" She replies with a 10 minute conversation to make sure who you are. You persist through this conversation and be as polite as possible.

B. You hang up on her after the first 2 questions she asks.

C. You hang up as soon as you hear an unfamiliar voice.

D. You hope to leave a voice mail.

E. You would call your cousin's cell phone, even though you have never done that before, and she would probably think that there is some emergency.

F. Anything else.
